Piranha Outbound Problems

Is anyone else having problems making outbound calls on Piranha. I gave one to a buddy in Germany. He tested it before a foreign trip and while he can receive inbound calls, he can't initiate them. He had no problem in the US. From what I tell, the US is a straight outbound country and Germany is a callback country.

He is using a Huawei Comet.

Piranha

Hi Stu we have no known issues when using call-back in Germany, can you ask user to email Piranha customer support with ICCD number of Sim, make, model and EMEI number of handset.Thank you.

in Greece and Turkey where i used piranha simcard i never experienced a calling problem.

but i have some other minor problems with them,
if piranha simcards had per second billing with existing rates within EU and cheaper local numbers (not like 4.25pounds per month for eg Greek numbers) i would definately use their simcard more and we might switch our business simcards to piranha ones too.
they (piranha) also charge per 100kb increment in data roaming..despite 10kb of camemobile or 1kb of travelsim.
i have inform piranha about these 3 disadvantages of their simcards, but they have not fix them yet.

I had some intermittent problems in Iceland, they said it was the server.

Given their low data rates, I don't think the 100kb increment is a huge deal.
As for extra numbers, Truphone charges 8 pounds a month for a UK or Australian number (I'm based in US).
Piranha gives you 2 free numbers, UK and US, which works very well for me.

for small data sessions e.g. email checking, the 100kb increment is quite important and costly

Slightly different question. I put their SIM into a Nokia Asha 311 and can't figure out the message center number for outbound SMS.

The Asha seemed like a perfect phone for them since it is a cheap pentaband HSPA phone which also supports wifi. I only wish it was S60 instead of S40 so I could use Jokuispot.
