Is CallbackWorld dead?
 

It's been a while since I needed to use their service but I was checking through my various online accounts and passwords and checked CallbackWorld.com. It seems to now be a domain parking service. Did they go belly up?

I can't even find the website. Yeah, I have not used them in a while either.

EdIt - I just called my CBW number and that works and I did get the callback. May be the website is just down. This is the website right? http://www.callbackworld.com

That's the website I remember.
I tried my PIN2DEST and it still works. The one callback trigger number that was attached to a still-working phone gives a disconnected message.

That website is going to a totally different page. May be they changed business plans and are no longer in the callback business. LOL!

The site is suspended.
 

According to the link below, and several others online, the domain has been suspended (as of 10/23/2011). So, it looks like they are gone! It's probably just a matter of time before all the numbers/callback stop working.

That's nice to know but they don't provide any information on how they are available. I just found an old e-mail from Barry and sent an e-mail asking about the status of the service. It didn't bounce immediately. I'll post here if I get a reply.

Pretty much that callback number is still working for now. You can't really do anything. You can't change the callback, or check your account, the website is no no more, and you can't contact them. As I mentioned already in this thread, it's just a matter of time before the numbers stop working. Heck! We do not even know what the rates are, etc.
