Best Swap with "dead" UM

Hi, i've read about the possibility to swap for free, the "dead" UM sim with new one of another company.
I need to know what is the best solution.

I had some credit (50 Euros) but i think at present time it is "LOST"

Actually, you will probably want the best solution FOR YOU!

Where you plan to use it and how you will use it will matter.
Shipping costs and credits will perhaps also make a difference.

I think I have seen 4 different options.

4 options for replacing UM SIM

For people who have United Mobile SIM cards, there seem to be four options [so far] on replacements.

1. Avoid problems with a free SIM upgrade from SIM4travel

This is SIM4travel and is UK based. Free SIM card. Free UK postage. No credit.

2.United Mobile SIM problem, OneSIMcard welcomes United Mobile customers

This is a free SIM card from a US based company. FREE OneSimCard with $10 initial balance on it.

3. Free sim card exchange for united mobile customers

This is a UK company. No balance.

4. Call Credit for FREE Replacement SIM

This is also UK company.

2 & 3 want you to mail them your old SIM card. This is what I found with little effort. There might be more but I am not aware of them.

Not all of these are as advantageousas the other. Spend a little time to understand each companies offers, terms of service and rates. They differ and one might be better or worse than another for your purposes and uses.

Regarding SIM4travel, which I purchased, you should mention the network service fee of £0.39 per day of active use:
Quote:

Network Service Fee – on each and every day that the service is used for inbound or outbound calls and outbound SMS, the customer will be charged a daily fee, (this fee is based upon each period of 24 hours from midnight to midnight GMT). The customer will not be charged the daily Network Service fee when there has not been an inbound or outbound calls and outbound SMS in a 24 hour period.
The minimum topup amount is £20, which you'll need to add in order your SIM to be able of receiving calls and of course place outbound calls and send texts.

All times are GMT +1. The time now is 11:37.
