Riiing or UM in Portugal and France?

I have a Riiing (+423) and a UM (+44) card and will be traveling to Portugal and France in the fall. At this time is there any advantage to carrying one over the other? It will be for local calls, as well as contact from family in the US. I'll need to boost the balance in whichever card I carry.
