International SMS from Poland
 

Could somebody check and confirm Pop's international SMS price:

SMS international: PLN 0.20 - € 0.05

It's way lower than on any other Polish prepaid I found from this site. Could it be a mistake?

Are there some other good options?

And how about Play. As I understood, it works on their own 3G network where available. Can 2G phone be used instead (roaming all the time in Plus).

It's an old POP tariff but it should be still available after switching. When I'll have more time, I'll check the details.

Not with the current prepaid plans - it's 0.61 everywhere except old POP and Play (0.50 PLN).

Yes, 2G is OK.

Unfortunately, it's discontinued. It was possible for some time to switch from Orange POP to Nowy POP tariff, but it's over now :-(. 0.20 PLN international SMS is history.

Play doesn't have to be a good solution anyway because international SMS are basically interchanged only between networks which have roaming agreements. Play has very few now (as for Finland, with Elisa only).

Orange, Plus, Era - all they charge 0.61 per int'l SMS. The only way to cut it down is to buy large top-ups with bonus: 115 PLN for 100/180 for 150 in Simplus, or 110 for 100 in Orange (180 for 150 in Orange is discontinued). But of course it's worth considering with planned heavy usage only.....
