Any help from our french speaking members

Ok guys, i am looking to get this rather spiffy looking mobile from Virgin Mobile France (payg) then bring it back to the uk, but french isnt my first langauge, i like the look of this phone

http://www.virginmobile.fr/ma_formule.fiche_mobile.php

But i have 2 questions,

1, what kind of charge port does it have, mini usb, or other?

2, would it work on Virgin uk when i bring it back to the UK, and be on virgin uk not roam onto t-mobile or other network?

Thanks on advance for any help guys?

Hi Malkav

This is not a link to a specific phone, but to the shopping page.

Maybe I can help you in another way.
I can order some phones directly from a distributor here in Belgium.
All phones sold in Belgium are NOT sim/operator-locked (it's not allowed).

Some brands (not all) offer an English manual in Belgium, I don't now about packaging in France.

If interesed, let me know...

Yves

It's locked to Virgin (if you buy it from Virgin), but I can 't say if it will work on other Virgin networks.
AFAIK locks are made on the operator's network number (999 99), and Virgin UK has another number than Virgin FR, so...

I also found this:

http://www.priceminister.com/offer/b...P3-Mobile.html

The used phone at 76,50 € is blocked, the one at 120,00 € isn't.
So it's possible to unlock it (as with most phones)...

FYI: I'm not affiliated with any of these companies...

i read somewhere that if you take a sim locked phone out of its home area (in this case france!) it becomes an unlocked phone in other regions/ countries!

i want it as is from france as i want the exclusive virgin mobile wallpapers etc built into the phone!

All i need to know is what kind of charger port it has, usb, other?

Looks like a nice phone.

I can speak some French.

According to the user manual at the following link, the phone can be charged from the included AC adapter or from the included USB cable (the USB cable according to the directions can be used for data transfer AND for recharging the phone. Let me know if you need me to translate a particular page for you (it will be a bit rough, I don't speak French as well as I wished I did).

If it turns out the phone is still locked, when you get back home, likely any decent mobile phone shop can unlock the phone for you for a modest charge.

It's a quite unusual maker, I don't know whether you can find someone able to unlock this phone...
