o2 UK sending texts whilst roaming

Could someone confirm what is the deal when using texts from your included bundle with a UK o2 contract whilst you are roaming.

I think it was 1 text abroad gets classed as 4 from the bundle? Was that right? Is that valid only for texts going back to the UK, or is that to anywhere (including the country you are in)? Also, does that deal work only in certain countries?

I have been trying to find the info on the website, but no joy.

Thanks in advance

i think you will loose 4 text messages from you incl bundle withyour contract, it does depends on where in the world you go, the further away it seems the bigger the bite you take! personally i buy a 'local' pre paid sim card and just use that while there!

So do I normally. Unfortunately my 'local' SIM at the moment (carrefour spain) seems to charge me 69c per international SMS and I seem to be going through a few. I think my o2 contract SIM is cheaper!

Certainly from about 5 or 6 countries in Europe that I've used it in, O2 uses the inclusive ones at 4 for 1.

For outside Europe, maybe we'd need to ask, but I'm not foreseeing that for me for a year or two

And look at the Java clients over data, like smsbug (doesn't work with O2 for me), mobisms, vgsmail and Vyke
