Túyo mobile

Does anyone have opinions about this US operation from IDT? - it started recently, mainly aimed at the Hispanic market

One option is 10c per minute calls, with 10c connection fee, options like calling card. Or 20c for 1st 10 min, then 10c.

And a $5 a month bonus top-up scheme for the next few weeks ...

It seems to be aimed at the Latino market. Doesn't look like there's a SIM-only deal.

It uses tmobiles network. I actually have this sim. They were giving it away for free, and it came with $10 credit and free shipping, so I decided to try it out. They also happen to have good international rates generally besides the excellent rates to S. America. For example, it's only 26 cents to callk a UK mobile and 1.5 cents to a UK landline. Plus airtime of course. My brother used this sim without any problems when he visited from the UK last month.

When does this card expire?

90 days from last topup.

I got the SIM when they were offering it for free (promotion) with $10.
Have not used it yet. I think they have SIM only when you call them to order

A friend of mine is visiting to CA in March and I think Tuyo looks pretty interesting since it's using the T-Mobile network and call charges are quite reasonable. Is it still possible to get one of the promotiononal SIMs? But even if so I don't suppose they'll be shipping them to Germany, maybe someone could help me out there? :-) (Of course I'd reimburse for expenses.)

I have seen some tuyo sims with $10 credit show up on ebay. So, you may want to try there. I think the prootion ended last year. I will PM you if I am able to locate one

I was able to buy one on eBay today, but thanks for your offer anyway :-)

Alas, I have another questions/problem. Today I've received my package, however it states that Tuyo-Cards may only be used with a Nokia 6010, Nokia 6102 or Motorola V180. (Of course I don't have any of these phones.)
I suppose you've used your Tuyo SIMs with other phones and there haven't been any problems and Tuyo isn't really checking on this?
