I'm glad to have added a couple of ideas to Martin's original article over a year ago, and to have posted PPGSM in a discussion of foreign SIMs (at his suggestion), though it wasn't added to the actual article until October or November.

... and indeed, to have suggested Przemolog take a look at the MSE callchecker or Niftylist for cheap calls providers from UK, which is probably how he found that article just now.

Thank you again for your advice but I didn't find the article when I was browsing pages recommended by you :). I was just googhlin the "global SIM" phrase in order to discover a new global SIM (possibly not-Manx  ) and voila... I did it (simplyfone and not only - haven't told here yet :))

Simply-fone is just a reseller of the same services as Auracall, Story and Swiftnet and their other affiliates

I haven't known anything about Auracall. As to Swiftnet - is this it? http://www.swiftnet.co.uk/services_index.asp. I can't see any global SIM here.

As to other Manx SIMs that I "discovered" these are:
1) Globalfon Mobile.
http://www.globalcallingrental.com/index.htm
It seems to be postpaid:
Convenient Credit Card Billing.
- Calls billed directly to your credit card monthly.
- Monthly Call Detail Statements
and rather expensive one:
Low-cost international calls from your mobile phone in over 70 countries.
- Receive FREE incomings calls in over 50 countries.
- Make calls worldwide from as low as $0.79 per minute
and some inconsistency: http://www.globalcallingrental.com/incoming.htm
Free There is no cost to receive calls while in the UK

2) SIM-p Global SIM from SIMphoneE
http://simphonee.com/product_info.php?cPat...&products_id=72
Of course it seems to be yet another Callkey product - the proofs of Callkeyness :D are: 30/6 debiting and the host4tele website http://simphonee.host4tele.com/hosting/globalsim/.

EDIT
Globalfon rebrands:

http://www.execmobile.com/
Real EU SIM as to incoming calls :) :
http://www.execmobile.com/incoming.htm

Mobile service for Diners Club cardholders:
http://www.dinersphone.com/

Not cheap in general but it's good that those for those "Globalfons" neither incoming nor outgoing are more expensive than 99 cents to landline/$1.18 to mobiles...
