Truphone - UK Numbering Range
 

Hi,

Looking at the entry for Truphone (reverted back to the original brand name from Tru now), there is a suggestion that the numbers issued as standard are JERSEY based. If this were true, then callers from the UK would be charged 'out of bundle' as Jersey numbers are normally not tariffed as normal UK domestic numbers.

However, the default number ranges issued by Truphone are in the +44-7408 range; these are 'proper' UK mobile numbers - and are tariffed (by BT) at FM5 rate (the same as Vodafone).

Also - as Truphone is a full mobile operator - with support for Mobile Number Portability (MNP), it is possible to port UK mobile numbers into Truphone from any of the major UK Mobile Operators.
