Vodaphone EU Flatrate

Abonnementen - Sim Only Zakelijk, zakelijk mobiel bellen zonder abonnement - Vodafone.nl

Vodaphone NL i s offering a flat rate for the EU / 43 Countries. Basically tthis means you will get a dutch mobile number.

In Holland you can call fixed and mobile numbers at a flat rate and also sms
You can also sms for free to all 43 countries.

When inside one of the 43 countries you can call flat rate to all 43 countries and NL fixed and mobile.

when receiving a call on your dutch mobile inside any of those 43 countries no roaming.

Included is also 1 gb of data that you can also use in any of the 43 countries.

At 55 euro without VAt for Companies this seems like a good deal.

It looks interesting for higher users, but I'm not sure that the 1 GB data bundle is for roaming

On the Meer info pop-up page, it seems to list 1 GB at home and 8 cents a megabyte abroad.

Binnen bundel: Onbeperkt* Onbeperkt* 1 GB
Buiten bundel: Onbeperkt* Onbeperkt* € 0,08 per MB

There might be a slight ambiguity though, but I think it means the 43 included countries when it says buiten, rather than all countries abroad, given that the unlimited calls and texts are still included on that line

8 cents a megabyte would still be reasonable for modest level website browsing, but only as long as people realise and don't get carried away watching video etc

correct there is a 64 euro version which has 4gb in NL and 1gb outside nl in those 43 countries

Only rip off deal is that they write unlimited but in the terms there is some sort of fair use saying you can't use it outside holland all the time, if so they can cut you off.

Oh sorry, I didn't look at that version

With Vodafone's substantial owernship interest in Verizon, you'd think that they could manage to negotiate good rates in the US (at least with 4s and 5 iPhones which could support Verizon's bands).

Vodafone and most European carriers don't roam on CDMA networks. Only GSM/UMTS.

Stu 15-04-2013 01:22

Yes, but Verizon roams just fine on Vodafone. Further, LTE is changing some of this because the technology comes together. You only need to look at Canada to see how CDMA is dying on the vine.

tux 15-04-2013 14:04

Ok, but you can roam on Vodafone because Verizon provides you with a common GSM roaming SIM. Because CDMA is used mostly in the US. :p
