Belgian SIM for this Friday

Hi all,

I'm going to Belgium on Friday and although I'm only there for a day, I think there's a good chance I'll be going there regularly so I think having a prepaid SIM would be a good idea.

From what I've read, the Simyo card seems very well regarded alas I very much doubt I can get my hands on one before I leave very early on Friday morning. Or could I?

Failing this, can anyone suggest something as good (or nearly as good) that I could perhaps buy when I'm there?

Many thanks as always.

I just came back from Belgium yesterday at evening. Try IDT Mobile.

hello i ve a simyo reloaded sim card since one year when traveling inthis country. it works on base provider wich is secure and reliable; no problem for average coverage and prices to reach In calls belgium are very competitive

The problem is that Simyo can be bought online only and delivered to Belgium only. I'll be in Antwerp too in two weekends, but that's not a good option, I fear...

Hi

These are 2 cards that you can get very easy.

http://www.1-mobile.be/SP_Abroad.cfm?lang=nl
Starterskit: €15, includes €6 callcredit
UK is in zone 1; €0,29/min fixed; €0,49/min mobiles

http://http://www.aldi.be/ALDI_BN/TALK_BN/index.htm
Starterskit: €15, includes €10 callcredit;
does not publish international rates.

If you need some help in finding these supermarkets, just mail me (no PM please). My email address is my ppgsm account at gmail.com

IDT is the way to GO!

IDT has great prices, and it can be topped up everywhere.

To be fair, if you email them (as per their site) they reply with a simple form to complete and return. This then enables you to buy one and have it sent outside of Belgium.

I did this today, alas I'm extremely unlikely to receive it before Friday so it will have to be for my next trip there.

Many thanks - I might get one but I may also just swallow roaming for Friday (I'm only there a day) and hopefully I'll have the simyo for next time.

I will drop you a line about the above though, in the morning. Thanks.
