I don't deny your words.
However, if "real world op" (i.e. the one that provides roaming agreements) for 09 is from Iceland, this would be very strange because obviously each of the Icelandic ops can roam in Switzerland.

I remeber that somebody (AndreA?) complained about problem with gt-sim in Switzerland.

I wouldn't like to be considered as a pranoid but there may be some Swiss conspiracy against international SIMs other than UM :P

<span style='font-size:11pt;line-height:100%'>National GSM Roaming Agreement in Switzerland</span>

Switzerland'd sunrise has signed a national roaming agreement with the new GSM mobile phone provider in&phone. The partnership - the first of its kind in Switzerland - will enable in&phone to provide its customers with national mobile phone services.

The national roaming agreement, signed by sunrise and in&phone, brings together a national GSM provider and a specialized GSM partner for the first time in Switzerland. in&phone holds a GSM license and works in the area of campus solutions on company premises and within company offices. This national roaming agreement with sunrise will enable in&phone to offer its customers mobile phone services across the whole of Switzerland while strengthening the wholesale activities of sunrise.

"sunrise is just the partner we've been looking for. Its state-of-the-art mobile network for GSM and GPRS services with national coverage, coupled with its wide range of fixed network products, is precisely what our customers need to expand their campus networks", explains Alois Widmann, CEO of in&phone.

So it seems that In&Phone is doing something very similar to Spring Mobile in Sweden, i.e. ad operator which installs its net only for industries, where they ask it, and go on national roaming everywhere else.

Seems a bit like another brand for Yallo... isn't it?

AndreA 23-01-2006 19:28

it's less expensive than Yallo... also it's very similar but this is "normal" in Switzerland :D

CoopMobile & Orangeclick have pratically the same offer while Cablecom is not so close to Yallo :P

At least it's very interesting to have a so low price to Liechtenstein... for a Cablecom customer is more expensive to call another Swiss GSM network than United Mobile :D
