Best offers for international SMS?

Hello everybody,

I wondered about the best deal for sending SMS to international destinations (SIM, pre- or postpaid)? T-Mobile Germany offered €1.5 ct/SMS but suspended the tariff meanwhile.

Any hints which operators (any country) to look at?

Many thanks in advance!
Cheers,

Daniel

Was the price 0,015Euro for 1 international message?
If yes - that was an excellent offer. I haven't ever heard of an offer cheaper than 0,05 Euro for 1 international SMS.

Hi Sakr,

Yes, it was 0.015 Euro ct per SMS whatever the destination. I agree this was very competitive! Anybody knows of other operators having similar tariffs in place?

Cheers,
daniel

Since you asked for any country, Tmobile USA prepaid charges $0.10/sms international or not. So, that's what I use for my international SMS.

Well if you have a T-mobile USA post pay plan, SMS is going up to $0.15/SMS. I bet they do the same for pre-pay. It is an effort to buy those stupid bundles of texts that they have.

Probably the best deal for me is to use smsBug with any SIM that has GPRS roaming. Totals around 6 cts./SMS. I understand that some of the Philippine SIMs have very low SMS roaming rates.

As far as I know the cheapest SMS are in Cyprus 1 Cypriot cent(1.7 Eurocent) plus VAT per message. Valid for messages worldwide. Also here in Czech Republic you can get 1 Koruna (3.5 Eurocent) plus VAT per message, but that is double of price in Cyprus.

Vyke (www.vyke.com) charges 2 cents per SMS, plus you would have a minimal charge for GPRS data. I prefer them to smsbug because they are cheaper, more reliable and their java app works properly on my phone.
