:help: I can't get the TravelSIM website to work. Whenever I go to http://www.travelsim.cc/ I get the homepage but clicking on On-Line Shop or Preise or Kontakt you just get a blank screen
Anyone else have this problem?? Also is it true they really don't charge for incoming calls in Russia? Thanks |

It works perfectly for me too, Firefox 1.5 on Linux.
Anyway you can go to the other site, which is in English too: http://www.onzoone.com/ |
Does it still have that huge music file on it? Maybe that is hogging the connection before the link will work.
|
Thanks for replies. Still doesn't work for me, it seems to be downloading something everytime I try, it takes about 1 minute (I'm on an ADSL connection)...
www.onzoone.com works fine but there are no details on how to buy the card. I filled in their enquiry form a week ago but never got a response back! |
Have now got website to work but only by viewing source and seeing that the html points to http://www.onzoone.at/travelsimger/i...es/Page480.htm e.t.c.
* The on-line shop does not exist yet: Hier entstehd in K?rze ein Onlineshop mit Aufladem?glichkeit. In der Zwischenzeit informieren Sie sich bitte per Email ?ber die derzeitigen Bezugsm?glichkeiten des TravelSIM-Startpaketes bzw. wie Sie Guthaben aufladen k?nnen: * So I sent an email..maybe I will get a reply this time!! Also the website designer needs to find a new job! Can you take a company seriously that puts that awful soundfile on their website? |

Rafael,
Thanks for the update and good luck. There are some decent rates and I like the free inbound in many places. BUT..... This is probably NOT your main area but.... "Call rates are always less than your operator's roaming rates" from the home page. ALWAYS? Bet your life on it? Are you VERY sure? POSITIVE? This statement is either an outright lie or advertising hyperbole. I'll give your firm the benefit of the doubt and attribute it to hype. FOR EXAMPLE: Let's start with your USA rates, which are not very impressive (low). According to the latest PDF file on the German site, a German D1 Xtra card supposedly has an inbound rate in the US (and actually in all of it roaming countries including Mexico and Canada) of 79 Euro cents per minute while roaming in the USA and 1.99 Euro per minute outbound to German phones from the USA. Your INBOUND rate is 2.09 Euros and OUTBOUND is 2.50 Euros. So much for ALWAYS. For the USA one can easily purchase a US T-Mobile prepaid SIM and, coupled with most calling cards, beat the T-MO rates and the TravelSIM rates by quite a distance. My US T-Mobile postpaid AND the German D1 prepaid Xtra card will also roam more cheaply in Canada AND Mexico than the TravelSIM. Your INBOUND is 3.55 Euros and outbound is 4.17 Euros per minute. QED. Sorry, but it might be even better not to show your absurd 4.17 Euros ($5.00) per minute outbound rates in Mexico. Sorry, but what a laugh! Stan |
thanks for comment :)
I'm not responsible for details which are on a page (marketing, travelsim service data like rates etc. I just put what i received from site owner) only for site development (programming & graphics ). Anyway i will forward your comment to people responsible for this part of a page to check this and for sure we will do some necessary changes. Thanks again Rafael I wrote a message here cuz i saw this referer in my log files :) and it is always good to talk with people who use products like this to prepare better system. |

Is Travelsim a business with a Polish share, at least partially? Or you're just involved in "outsourcing mode" :)? |

Yeb there are not good roaming agreements in soutamerica, travelSIM is working on that, but look at the european rates:-)

this depends of course on the roaming agreements, on the other side travelsim offers free inbound in countries like russia, turkey, saudi arabia, egypt, tunesia,....
each MVNO has other roaming agreements of course. also travelsim callback triggering works with USSD and SMS as backup and there are no setup costs per call ;-) another features are the real time recharge and the real time calling history at www.travelsimshop.com |
What about Italy, Greece and other countries; 09 and UM offer free incoming calls to more EU countries....
|
this is a question about roaming agreements, travelsim is working on it - have you tested it already?
|
I wanted to buy it but since it did not offer free incoming in some EU countries of my interest I gave it a second thought..... ;)
|
Travelsim can you explain us why there are 2 numbers for voice and SMS and both start to the same prefix? That is something annoying... along with not free roaming in importante EU countries...

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom. Since among the largest countries only Italy and Poland and among medium-sized Greece and Portugal are missing, the majority of EU inhabitants enjoys free incoming in Travelsim. And don't forget that, after all, the EU motto is "United in diversity". Some of us have free incoming calls in Travelsim, some don't - that's diversity :P  |
TravelSIM has 2 different numbers, for SMS and Voice.
Because of this we can track easily sms and voice in the real time statistics and we are using USSD triggering (NO setup costs per call), also there is a commercial reason - which compensates to good rates in many countries. we are working on it to get more free incoming call - countries as we?re in negotations with mobile network providers. I will keep you up to date! |
Thanks Travelsim, anyway I suggest you to work also on the unique number for calls and SMS since it's something which can confuse a lot people receiving calls and SMS from Travelsim numbers. Of course we know that there are the 2 numbers, but apart from us, "normal people" don't and get confused.
|
for me as for TS user 2 numbers not a big problem, because when I send SMS recipient see my SMS number and can reply me,
when I call, recipient see my voice number, and can call back to me. Whyle nobody not confused ;) |
