Almost complete, only rates for calls to satphones are missing...

http://www.united-mobile.com/download/rate...ates_en_eur.pdf

... but I analyzed the pop-up rate calculator and it seems that Thuraya should be in Area 6, Area 7 is Iridium and Emsat, Area 8 - Globalstar, Area 9 - Inmarsat A/B/ISDN/M, Area 10 - Inmarsat M mini (flat rate 15,99 EUR/min worldwide :P)

It's still different rates, look for the f or m after the country name in the area lists.

e.g. UK-UK is 39c fixed (area 1), 59c mobile (area 2).

As a general rule, no operator adds mobile surcharges in destinations like USA, Canada or other countries in which there are no specific "mobile" numbering zones (or no extra mobile termination fees - is there such country at all?).

And, unlike 09, gt-sim or old UM tariffs there's no fixed mobile surcharge here. This surcharge spans from 0.20 to 1.00 EUR/min depending on zone/area combination.

And, I guess, Hop numbers should be considered as Area 2: Monaco KFOR m.

I think that Hop is in Area 1 (Monaco general) because usally +377.4 are cheaper than ex KFOR prefixes.

Also poor Travelsim and other FL networks :)

Area 4
CAMBODIA, ESTONIA m, FALKLAND ISL., KENYA, LIECHTENSTEIN m, MALDIVES, MALTA m, OMAN, SAMOA, SIERRA LEONE, SYRIA, VIETNAM

Also, do they add a surchage or shipping for REFILLS? The last time I tried to order a refill they wanted to add a surcharge. I wrote about that here somewhere. I even complained to customer service and they wrote back they were adding the surcharge for as a processing fee. THEREFORE, I bought my refill off Ebay.de from a reliable seller of Riiing refills as I had done in the past.

Inbound while in USA is now ONLY 79 E-cents, down from over 1 E I believe. WHY even bother?

USA pricing was ALWAYS high.

No surcharges added for web refills. Refilled using a credit card off the web this week. The only additional charge I get is a a currency conversion charge (total of 3%) that Visa and my bank charges for any foreign currency transactions. 2 interesting changes: Now it's a direct add to your account, instead of having them emailing you a PIN number (they warn you to make sure you enter your phone number right!) and the lowest refill is now 10 euros instead of 15 euros that it used to be for Riiing/UM.

Yes, there are such more or less hidden surcharges but they are not on the UM's side - UM doesn't add anything to the total sum expressed in euros. I refilled in the first week of December by 10 euros and I had on my CC statement exactly 10 euros and its equivalent in Polish zlotys.

I think this way of refilling is better than dialing a long PIN via DTMF. IMHO PIN-based top-ups are convenient when using USSD codes (or when sending via SMS). Simply you can edit them before sending what is impossible with DTMF.
