did you find out how much the SIM will cost?
even after registering an account you cant see a price :P

got the reply already:

SIM card costs 10 EUR,
Shipment to Germany is 10 EUR (registered letter), or 30-40 EUR (by courier mail),

What I can tell you is that this prefix (+371222) appears to be a very high priced one to dial . One voip provider charges it 1.1$/min! This is extremely high.

with rebtel it costs just 0.183 € /min to call these numbers... and are accessible from betamax also.

their customer support replies are extremely very quick.

I suppose its just a matter of time that these rates increase. We have seen this in the UM case (Liechtenstein prefix).

I have put the number in rebtel and it appears to cost 22.9 dollar cents/min

check some of the numbers availiable for sale on their website e.g. +37122206457 , +37122206801 etc...
Cheap International calling rates from Rebtel 0.183 € /min ...

is even more cheaper calling these numbers through betamax clones and (still at least) accessible .

They are smoking a lot of something! 30 - 40 Euro to mail something that should cost may be 1 euro. They must be nuts!

they replied me also ...posting costs are 10 eur. worldwide via registered mail.

30-40 eur. via courier (2 days delivery) is ONLY if requested by an urgent customer..

Betamax clones and Rebtel don't support camel +37122xxxxxx numbers.

from megavoip.com (betamax clone) was ok since yestreday, haven't checked it today!

-Camel mobile introduced new (reduced outgoing rates) as from 1st of April 2012. plus they offer free incoming calls to 135+countries (includ. USA)
i am testin g their sim now i ordered last week and i am quite satisfied. no bug found.
their callingback function of their sim is the quickest i have seen from all international simcards used up to now.
their data rates are also competitive at 0.69eur./mb including all european countries, plus the US and Japan and other non-European countries!


-they also offer sip calling , which uses the balance of the simcard!

-their online system: manager.camelmobile.com is very good, fully functional... plus they offer the option to recharge the balance with even 1eur.!

-very important: the validity of the sim and the balance on it is unlimited!
the only condition is to make a single chargable call or sms every 12months! no recharge/topup required!

-calling from one camelmobile number to another camelmobile number costs 0.18eur./min to most countries!

-within european union they charge outgoing calls (to all other europ.Union countries) by the second (with a minimum of 30sec).
incoming calls within european union are charged by the second with no minimum duration.
sms sent from an eu country to another eu country is charged with 0.11eur/sms.

just been informed from their cust.service that they offer a new interesting service... online tracking position via map of the sim cards.
the service is free till the end of May, afterwards it will be charged with 1eur. per month.

they also offer unlimited sending sms to camel mobile numbers through their website at Camel Mobile - Roaming Service with Voice, Internet and SMS all on one SIM - CamelMobile

call charges are very much less in INDIA and I can bet that the call charges are lowest here in the entire world.

yes, they have very competitive outgoing rates to most countries, plus they offer free incoming calls to 130 countries includ. USA, Russia etc

It's still beyond me how they are able to provide free incoming in the Caribbean the US as well), that tends to have very high roaming rates. . That's if it works there of course. may be because of the termination rates to the +371 number.

in USA is tested and worked fine, free incoming calls both on AT&T and T-MOBILE networks.
-outgoing calls from US ( both on AT&T and TMOBILE networks) charged at only 0.35eur/min (to all destinations).
-While in US, calling to another camelmobile costs just 0.24eur./minute
-Data roaming availiable on AT&T, rate at 0.69eur. per mb... billed in 10kb increments!
-outgoing SMS while in US costs 0.30eur/sms worldwide.
-incoming SMS while in US free.

as said on a previous post...Camelmobile uses Vodafone's worldwide roaming agreements and call routing, so there is NO possibility you can't get it work.

Very Important feature!

I need a backup to my Ekit and I am considering this sim. I have Telna, but, well...

Next trip is in June to Montego Bay, Jamaica for a week. The best I have right now is Telna at $0.50/min. I just do not want to depend on Telna alone. Ekit is now showing $1.29 to receive there. It used to be way cheaper(Actually I believe it was free when I last used Ekit there 2 years ago) than that, even up to 2 months ago.

Bottom line - I am trying to minimize my initial outlay for a sim card. So, how much credit comes on the card as default? Then I will decide if I am willing to pay the 10Euro to mail it to the US.

simcard costs 10eur.
registered airmail posting (worldwide) costs 10 eur. from 1 to as many simcards ordered together.
no balance on initial purchase, you either add balance later or at the time of purchasing the sim.
except creditcard & bank transfer they also accept paypal.


*In Jamaica they offer free incoming calls, outgoing calls at 0.55eur./minute.
sms while in Jamaica 0.30eur/sms

they have roaming agreement with both Oceanic Digital Jamaica Limited (2G & 3G) and with Digicel (2G)

also bear in mind that camelmobile simcards & the balance on it do NOT expire if you don't recharge them!

A lot of things about the sim sound good, however as someone that has lost money on several similar companies (just recently with Yackie/Paytoo) that have gone under, I would rather not spend 20 euro on sim with no credit.

no, i'm a customer of them. i'm an IT engineer specialized on telec.services.
the company i work for, have order 4test simcards from them, our testing trials (running approx.1month) show NO bug and exact billing as advertised.
we trialed not only billing & service availiability but each one of their offered services, for e.g. gprs, online managemnet, call me back, sip, cellId tracking, free sms from their webiste etc
the only service not working properly is the fax-receiving but they're working on it as they told us.
we're looking for to replace all our current international simcards (around 50+ simcards) for our fleet drivers.
our current simcards are of cloud9 service (+4477000 numbers)

all these years after tried most of the international simcards (ekit, tru, maxroam, united, travelsim, telna, planetsim, onesimcard etc) we now tend to conclude that camelmobile is the best overall value for money option and most promising roaming product availiable on current market.
except their very competitive rates and services, we're impressed with their customer support (both sales & technical) and with their fully functional ONLINE MANAGEMENT ACCESS (http://manager.camelmobile.com)

i am constantly doing the same for our developers and customers fleet cards ;-) At the moment we are doing fine with XXSim but the camel card for sure is another good option.
