Worldsim what a bad service !!!
Good day !
Just a short story to explain to everybody how bad is the service with worldsim. As a frequent traveller, i was very interested to try the service from worldsim, i ordered a mini sim card for my iphone from their web site, and i immediately call their office to check avialability and to be sure that i will be deliverd on time. I was monday, (19/11/11) i talk with an efficient men, who told me that to be sure, he prefer to send me the sim card directly from his agent in dubai, then deliverd to my hotel, and he say,... your card will be here before you ! It's look like very professional and serious. He also confirm it by email (ricky) Arrival in dubai on the 22nd of October, i immediately check with the concierge, who told me that they did not received anything yet. I send a mail to ricky and sans (at world sim) explaining that it is very urgent, noboby answear, on satruday i use the chat for almost 1 hour with one of their representative who explain that they send it to me by post, but he also give me 2 phones numbers in dubai of their agent. I try to call them 10 time during the day, i was ready to buy an other card for the emergency and the trouble that i have with my ROAMING fees... Nobody answear. On monday (today) i chat again with ricky and john, ricky leave me on the chat wi no answear except that royal mail attempt to deliver my hotel, but it was impossible... i told him that i stay in a 5 star hotel there are 2 000 employees and 20 person at the front desk it is open 24/24 and 7/7, impossible to miss yhe reception, and as everybody know luxury hotel do not refuse a lettre for a client, never. anyway i told him that i am leaving to abu dhabi tomoroow and i really need the card, i ask him to check with his local agent, he say... I have a good news we can deliverd you from our agent in dubai, you will receive the card in .... 5 days !! dubai -> dubai 5 days, when a courrier, or a taxi for 5 euros deliverd in less than 1 hour... At the end, i have no sim card, i will pay a lot for roaming, but they never think that it will be interested to take care about cutomer, i am working for an important company with employee en more than 100 country, and all of us spend (unfortunatly) a lot of money in phone calls... At the end, i pay for a service that i don't use, they refuse to reimburse me, and i will never receive my card,... poor service. So, if you want the best forget Worldsim...! Vincent :chair: |

Good day, Just a few words, the problem was not coming from worldsim but really from UAE post office, in fact they have the package since 24/10/11, but they never try to deliverd, it was on hold... for a pickup. i will get it this afternoon, so sorry, i was on edge yesterday, i just mail and chat to world sim and again sorry about that, i will report after my test with the product. Why did you not get a local sim card. Etisalat is a very good sim card with near free international calling. Du is the other sim card , but I have not used them. Why go through the trouble with world sim when a local card would do. It is trouble like this that I have dropped world sim years ago, and stick with local sims.

Don't buy Worldsim
I have bought a worldsim card from Gitex Dubai Exhibition for around 100$, the guy selling the sim has told us alot stories about the features their sim have which was all fraud.
The guy assured us that at the moment there are two numbers available (Uk & USA) but later it will have alot countries .I know about the smartness of such sellers but a friend of mine asked me to check their service as well. So i bought the sim ,today after so many days of purchase i saw the sim in my exhibition bag.I though of giving it a try and i put the sim in my galaxy tab and i got the sms of the number which looked very professional but later when i called the number i got charged for listening to voice mail ivr (although phone was on.) i reached their web site and asked them how to get my usa number ,as i took the sim only for usa number , the guy told me how to activate it , again very impressive sms got. The climax came when i made a call to usa number and received the call for 10 secs , call was charged .26c (one dirham in local currecncy) which is much higher then if i bring indian sim to uae . i reached back to web site and support and asked them why it happened after all these claims , then he gave me a story of zones that if you are in zone # 007 then your call will be free or else we will charge you this much , i tried to convince him that you are doing cheating but he said we cannot do anything . To cut a long story short i am asking anyone who is planning to get a sim from them be sure he do not get cheated by them and i will make sure that these guys do not show up in any international exhibition or atleast not in UAE.:chair: |

thanks for the reply , unfortunately (for your company) that i did not buy the sim online , i bought it from your counter in Gitex, i have witness with me who will testify the guy confirmed that incoming will be free , also you can check on your web site it says dubai incoming free , if someone can guide me how to upload a pic i can post a screenshot of your web site . what you call it ? |

As you can check on our website Dubai has free incoming calls except on weekends. If you were charged on a week day please contact us and we will check it for your as that is not supposed to happen. Thank you. |

I think you did not read my posting, i told you that i complained to your support they say uk number is free and usa number is charged, usa number get charged 26c which is more then our local provider roaming charges.And this all happened today only , i wish to get for what i paid or i should get a refund or else i will keep on posting inn other forums as well. |

EU, USA, Canada, Australia, India, South Africa, Russia can now save in roaming charges.. Before i had a doubt that i might be messing with a reputable company but now i am 100% sure that these guys are professionals , i gave them time till monday mid night which is over and they kept on sending me useless emails and threats only , one day a guy called me from a fake cli (+786111) and told me he is from worldsim company and their company is 100 million $ company and due to my postings i ruined their reputation and confirmed me that i will be refunded back my money if i apologies on the forums , i asked him i will post a settlement on the forum that i got my refund but guy with fake id calling on my UAE mobile number claimed that we don't know about you , you might vanish after getting the money. (You decide what you will think about such a company). You can imagine about their professionalism that they still insist that, we did not sell you the sim by saying UAE is in free incoming countries list , while on their front page they are advertising it till today .(you can see screenshot here Directupload.net - Dbf9kzf67.png) Now you guys can understand their professionalism , I will suggest to all of you to start discouraging such companies who waste our money and time.I will follow them wherever they will post their advertisement and will make sure no one else get cheated. Regarding refund of 0.26 c sofia , my claim was for free incoming on USA number in UAE, did you guy see anything regarding that in her email in above post? Agree real professional people . |
Personally, if I were you, I'd just count my losses and move on. This life is too short and sometimes it's not worth all this trouble.

Following your conversation with our customer service representative and based on the following facts: a) your claimed purchase was over 1 year ago at Gitex 2010 b) the price at Gitex 2010 was $55 not $100 as you claim c) you have no receipt for your purchase d) You have no knowledge of who sold you the card e) At every show we give a detailed leaflet of our rates f) Our website also clearly states our rates Our customer service representative still offered to give you a full refund of the purchase price. Unfortunately, you did not accept this. We have now made every effort to assist you via email and phone calls but to no avail and consider this matter closed. About the threats you were the one who kept threatening us, we are glad we have all your emails. For example in your own words: "Anyhow to cut it short i give you two options 1- refund the sim and i forget everything. 2- I will hire freelancers who will post against your fraud in every place where they find your company name , i will make your company should be out of the market." can you please tell the sexiest questions i asked to people over here? yes i own my sayings that i will make you out of market so that you cannot cheat anyone. Regarding refund i told you to refund the payment and i will walk away but you said i have to apologies on forums , why would i apologies ?? i did the fraud or you? regarding invoice i was told that just drop your business card and i will get invoice in my mailbox which never happened all this time. For whatever is worth I have been using WorldSim card (UK and US number) in Europe and in Saudi Arabia and always worked very well, received all calls for free in Saudi as well (not on weekend) and could check my account online as well. I am pleased with the service.

I wish i could confirm the same , but i will consider it stupidity to use that sim in UAE , .26c per minute for receiving call.UAE to KSA call from Etisalat or DU (local providers) is same.Beside Zain (KSA Provider ) sim has free incoming in UAE .That is real not spam like these guys.

WorldSCAM (sorry, SIM)
I'm sure WorldSIM is doing its best to be a decent telecom provider. Problem is, they are not very successful in it.
They are acting as a bunch of criminals by selling products without delivering them. They take money from people and subsequently delete their account so the client is not able to make use of the phone and services he paid for. They are extremely hard to reach and there's nowhere a direct email address available. You are forced to use their web based comm tool which is not functioning when you want to ask or make a complain. The phone number they offer in case you like to speak directly with them, produces a stream of mind altering noise (perhaps you call this music???) and you NEVER get anybody on the phone. Remember, WorldSIM is a telecom provider!! Great PR if you do not understand how it works in this world. Calling from abroad is costing me a serious amount of money, just because their product is not working and I therefore cannot use the free number. Deleting an account that has been in working order for over two years and then telling me I'm not a client (with a WorldSIM card in my hands and proof of payment) is in my view nothing more and nothing less than a big rip off with the DNA of a 419 scam!! You know, dear WorldSIM gang, this would have never happened if you simply checked out what was really going on. A simple "mea culpa" would have solved it. Now your terrible service, together with your attitude will result in much more damage than the profits you thought to make by stealing money from me. For your information, a complaint is a very cheap way to bring your service level to higher standards. It shows faults in the organisation that you can work on. Simply disregarding them or even worse, not adequately address them, is a missed opportunity becoming a better company! Conclusion? NEVER buy services from WorldSIM! And for all the people who are happy with them? Congratulations! Stay with them and be happy. Do not change to another provider and spread the word. I must have made a mistake or I'm the only one who had this tragic encounter. |
Using the WorldSIM has its pros and cons. The pros is that it has good rates mentioned in the website, so as the data rates for some country. Great products as well. Cons remains of selecting the proper location and using the SIM card in a yearly period. Hope that they may come with SIM cards which does not require selecting the profile. As long as you can manage to use the SIM card in the correct profile, you get great rates. I had once incurred the same thing that you had said, being under the incorrect profile and charged a huge amount. Contacted the support and asked the charges for, they replied me politely, informing that I had been under wrong profile. Was about to say something, but they informed me the correct setting and partner provider, and was generous to reimburse the additional charges after a day of them raising it to their supervisors. Since then, I had always checked the profile and location and always keep a track of their roaming rates before I use the SIM card during my vacations.
