1. for every call received over DID you will pay Euro 0.10 extra, that is, in case of EU, it will be Euro 0.19
2. why not
3. of course, and will cost you Euro 0.29 per min
4. Newly purchased SIM will have a lifetime of 1 year right away, and can be extended with each 25.00 Euro block top up for another 6 month each time

Regards,

GT Online

Hi. I've also some questions:

1) +44 will be Isle of Man code?
2) Where your company is based?
3) About payment, will be possible through Paypal?

About UM customers: i've not seen any offer in website.

I've seen website, it's nice, easy to understand but lacks of FAQ and it's little poor of informations :-)

Hallo there,

its IoM,yes. Head office is in HK, there are as well offices in Europe, US and SE Asia. As a rule SIMs are shipped from Europe, so it's fast. We accept Visa and Master.

Have a look again:) I wonder how you could miss that?
And by the way, simple click on THE COMPANY on GT-SIM will take you right there, to the FAQ:rotfl:

123456 13-05-2009 15:17

From the FAQ:

How long will the card and the balance on the account remain valid (only for Prepaid customers)?
If there are no calling activities within a period of 3 months, a rental charge of Euro 9,95 for the number will be automatically deducted from teh account. To avoid these charges simply top up your account by Euro 25.00 and the life time of your number will be extended for another 3 month at a time. If you would add another Euro 100.00 your life time of your number would be extended for another 12 month.

StanleyR 13-05-2009 16:26

From the FAQ ::

A Purchased SIM comes with a lifetime of 12 months. A Euro 25.00 call minutes top up will extend the lifetime of the SIM for another 6 months. Accordingly a Euro 50.00 call minutes top up will extend the lifetime of the SIM for another 12 months, and Euro 100.00 will extend the lifetime of the SIM for another 24 months. Regardless of usage the SIM will stay alive until the lifetime ends. If the lifetime ended the SIM can be reactivated within a period of 180 days and any unused credit from your previous top-up will be carried forward. The reactivation charge is Euro 9.95

123456 13-05-2009 16:52

That's an improvement! Any other small print to consider?

StanleyR 13-05-2009 21:05

As I have already stated above, this is the one and only policy -->

So, as i understand, u've to fill 50 euro minimum each year to keep sim card alive, right?

Do you give opportunity to check every call/sms cost, where sent, to which number, country and so on? Or, like Sim4Travel, you simple find your credit deducted to some ammount, without opportunity to check when, why, where

As it is a very complex system and there is so much to set and adjust that it is a lot better to try it yourself at GT-DESKCall . You are able to do a free signup with an initial one Euro call credit. This application is similar to the SIM module as well as WAP. That will give you good understanding what the product is all about. All the applications are controlled from one portal, in total these are GT-WAPCall.com, GT-DESKCall.com, Press2Call.com, GT-Phone.com and finally the GT-SIM.com.

Security & privacy

I've checked Gt website: my browser tell me privacy data (name, address, credit card details to buy sim) are transferred without encryption. Is this true?

This happens when you follow "Free replacement" link

By the way, it's sad Gt do not accept safe payment through Paypal

Stanley R:

About for the valid period for the SIM card, as a existing customer, I do remember when I bought the SIM card, on the FAQ states if there is no account activity for more than 3 month, the rental charge will be applied as the quote from 123456.

As I recall, when I see your post on 13-May-2009, I did check the GT site myself at the time, it is still the policy as quote by 123456, but it has been change now, to the 25/50/100Euro for 0.5/1/2 year thing, can you explain the change is for all the customer or just for the new join UM customer?

I am also UM SIM card user for all my family member, just wondering if I can get the extra free SIM card, and link up with my existing account?that will be easier for me to arrange my account!and how are you guys going to count the valid period if I get more than one SIM card in the account?Do I have to top up 200Euro to get 2 year?

The One and Only Policy can change overnight? I would love to get some information before it get changed.

Thanks ahead for the reply.

Stefen,
As for the SIM(s) lifetime policy, yes, that relates to all of the customers, existing and future ones.
We do not mind how many SIM cards are in the account, we only look at the actual Euro 25/50/100 top up and extend lifetime for all SIM cards accordingly.
You cannot just get a free SIM, you need to follow the replacement policy. Once you order the SIMs, we can integrate them into one account and transfer the amount to your existing one.
Cheers:)

As an existing customer, how can I see on which date the livetime ends?

Thanks,
Wil

Again, I follow your instruction to check the life time for my SIM card, and it is not there, maybe it will show up in a few day?Since this is the new policy(for me), the website still in the process of change!

And by the way, just to clear on the life time issue, was this my eye sight problem or it is the recent change?

This policy has already been in place for 1 month. Probably your eye sight is the cause. Guess we are all getting older :)
ACCOUNT -> Product Setting -> GT-SIM Setting, after you selected your GT-SIM you will see a text appearing right under the pop down window

Stefen 16-05-2009 14:18

StanleyR:

Thanks for let me know my eye sight problem, At least you admit it is the NEW(1 month) ONE and ONLY policy! So IT IS A "RECENT CHANGE" to me, thanks for answer my question!

Try to check it again, when I select my GT-SIM number from drop down window, I see only
- Serial No.: PIN: PUK:
also some setting option about
Forward call
If call is not answer 30sec
and last about IMEI for the phone I am using.

Still did not show the life of my SIM, Just to help both of us on trouble shooting, I have use IE,fire fox both of them won't show the life time for the SIM card, maybe I am still under the OLD ONE and ONLY policy, let's keep it that way, I kept the screen shoot just to prove what I see........just in case......

Cheers!
