only useful for:
1)italian speaking call center assistence
2) low rate forward italian cell number on international sim (you can forward your cell number on special italian landline number and zeromobile forward call on international sim; the cost: italian landline call from your italian mobile (billed on italian mobile operator) + forward cost to your zeromobile sim (billed on zeromobile sim).


my opinion: it's not a good deal except for italian people (tipically busness people) who want to be reachble on their italian cell number at lower price outside UE.

I haven't checked the tariffs yet; for Italians, how does the call forwarding compare to setting up something oneself via Messagenet or Skypho/Eutelia and/or others?

Eutelia rates (same rate for calling from voip phone and for forewarding to your cell number) are:

zeromobile rates for incoming call on did number are country dependent: if you stay in "zone 1" country the rate is 19 eurocent (vat inc), if you stay in "zone 2" country is 29 eurocent and so on.

.......but i'm bit confused: there are 2 different zone list for originating call and destination call. I suppose the first list is the list for the incoming DID rates.


Well, first tentative for comparison:
you have um423 sim and eutelia voip account with a free italian did number,

you stay in england
for incoming call on did number you pay: call divert eutelia-->um423=30,1 cent/min
with zeromobile 19cent/min


you stay in Egypt:
eutelia+um423 the same 30,1 cent/min
zeromobile: 29 cent/min

you stay in china:
eutelia+um423 the same 30,1 cent/min
zeromobile: 79 cent/min

if you change your um423 with a travelsim or um+ the matrix rates is totally different

The travelsim.it site is the italian reference for travelsimshop site or totally different sim?

it's the same, only www.travelsimshop.it is in italian language (even if it's full of mistakes :p)

Zeromobile has very high rates; it's possible do mnp too

"Original" 09 sims are charged in euros. Yackie uses 09 sims which are charged in dollars but I think it's mainly because Yackie is a US-based company targeted mainly for US customers. Currency conversion in Italy would make no sense :-).

I figure that they focused on Italy because the Italians don't care how much they pay per minute:)

And they all have more money than they know how to spend too. :p

1) Biling is 60/60, i.e. per minute.
2) Travelsim.it is an Italian dealer, and I don't like them. We always dealed with travelsimshop.com (or .it, it's the same), which is an Austrian reseller, very correct, we have a referral link with them and we find it to be probably the best among the dealers we had contact with.
3) GT-Sim on mondo3? Never read about it, it seems I'm too busy recently! :P BTW they changed quite a lot their offer, I really have no idea about how it works now! :D

Well, this is true... if you read this news you can understand our situation: Mondo3 News | 3 Italia ferma al 7,5%, in Italia persiste il duopolio

Translation maybe is not needed: I numeri sono eloquenti: TIM al 41,9%, Vodafone al 36,3%, Wind al 14,3% e 3 Italia al 7,5%.

these guys talked to me about six months ago about offering a full blown global roaming sim.
