We believe that Yackie Mobile SIM card is a fantastic product. Our market for the Yackie Mobile SIM card is for both the business and leisure traveler, to be able to communicate with the world without the hassle of purchasing various SIM cards for your destinations. We simply want you to know that the issues the company has been experiencing have been addressed. We have taken the necessary steps and put our heads together to come up with the best solution for this product to not only work but work without any technical issues.

We strongly believe that these issues are now behind us! Our new cards are now available and all of our customers, who have signed up over the past months, will receive a FREE Yackie Mobile SIM card with an assigned number. We do not expect, as far as it is our control, to experience any more technical issues, commercial issues, and customer service issues.

We at Yackie Mobile look forward to continue doing business with you. We would like to apologize for the inconveniences these issues and changes may have caused you. Thank you in advance for your business.

andy 30-08-2006 22:46

why don't you post all of these on the same thread?

achu 31-08-2006 03:16

Can people that ordered the SIM report back if and when the refund shows up on your credit card? It would be helpful if you can also include your geographic location (US, Europe, etc) in case that matters.

I am working under the assumption that people who received the SIM (which is no longer working for incoming calls) will also receive a refund.

Bossman 31-08-2006 03:52

Actually, I believe, and as stated above, everyone will be receiving a refund. Others that did not have a US DID also received the email. Even though it seems llike only the US DID are the ones that are not longer working, they are probably refunding everyone because of the that, in addition to all of the isssues that have not been resolved.

Hopefully they will come back strong. Yackie, if everything is working as described, sure seems like a good product. Especially for those of us in the US.

I will definitely report back as soon as the refund shows up on my credit card.

I agree with Andy and I merged the 3 topics into one. Let's go on with this only.

Bossman 06-09-2006 10:00

Don't know the details about what it takes to issue a credit card refund, but it seems like these refunds are taking a little longer than normal to show up. It's been about 2 weeks since the refunds were supposedly issued, but it's still has not showed up on my credit card acct.

I have been issued credit card refunds/had transactions reversed(even international transactions) a number of times, and these did show up within 24 - 48 hours of when they were reversed.

Anyone else thinks this is taking a little longer than normal?

When a credit card refund is issued, it goes through the same system as a credit card purchase and should be on your account the very next day...I haven't received mine yet either.

Yackie Mobile...what gives.

Yackie Mobile...what gives.

I just followed up with Yackie, and got this message that I believe was sent out to all customers:

noreply@yackiemobile.com

Subject: Please confirm...

Dear Yackie Mobile Customer; Can you please confirm if you received your refunds for your Yackie Mobile SIM card order? All transaction were completed. We need to notify our bank if you have not received it as yet. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may have caused you. Best regards Yackie Mobile Customer Support

Hopefully you all got this message. If not, I have included the e-mail address I received it from.

Bossman 06-09-2006 16:23

Yes. I got the same exact message a few minutes ago. I also followed up with yackie earlier this AM. Not really sure what's going on. Seems like there is some misinformation somewhere.

MATHA531 06-09-2006 16:24

Got the same message too.

srickrode 06-09-2006 16:46

I have actually been in frequent contact with Yackie over the past few days. I just began some field testing with them this morning on new phone numbers. There was an issue with the codecs between the Florida DID numbers and Yackie's system, so new phone numbers were required. The new numbers are once again Ohio-based numbers. Preliminary testing overall was encouraging, with both outgoing and incoming calls coming through. There are currently a couple kinks that they are working through regarding calls from landline numbers, but hopefully they will be worked out shortly, and we all should be getting some positive news soon.

YackieMobile 06-09-2006 20:55

Dear Yackie Mobile Customers;

We are ready to ship our FREE SIM cards to those customers who were refunded, we need you to confirm your mailing address and telephone contacts. Also, we need for all customers who did not receive their refunds to send us an email as well. Please send all emails to support@yackiemobile.com.

Best regards,

Bossman 06-09-2006 21:40

As per the other threads, I do not think anyone in this forum received a refund.

Bossman 07-09-2006 19:56

While doing this testing were you able to verify that calls were being billed correctly? Are calls that did not complete such as busy calls, or calls that failed still being billed? Also, were you using the same old sim card with the deactivated DID (could not receive incoming calls) during this testing? Currently, the call log shows all calls(failed, busy, etc.) appropriately, but bills $0.35 for them. So, were you able to verify that this is no longer happening? It's good to now that calls are completing both ways successfully, but what about their billing? It will not help much if one gets the new sims but the billing is still off.

MATHA531 09-09-2006 11:36

For the record...and my credit card transactions through yesterday 08/09/06 have been posted, I still have not received credit for the Yackie sim card...has anybody received this promised credit yet?

Bossman 09-09-2006 15:53

Nope! No promised credit, no promised new SIM card, and a Yackie SIM card that is no longer working for incoming calls.

YackieMobile 10-09-2006 14:04

Dear Bossman

I can not let you say that...

The bank who have processed the sells for all Prepaid GSM customers is the well Fargo.

We have cancelled and refunded all orders from prepaid Gsm Members, and we have for proof all transactions number from the processing system.

Why this money is not yet in your credit card statement? this is a question that my accounting department ask to the WF bank.

From our side every thing was clear, but some thing seem to be wrong.

It shall be resolved, all customers, both with a SIM cards or not was refunded and will have their money back.

So this refund issue shall be resolve soon, and we will work with you for that

After.....

The Free Sim card...

I have decide, and me personnaly, without any advise......to send a free card for all prepaid customers, and this shall be made next week, during our yackie mobile seminary to Miami

All yackie offices will be present for our annual seminary, and we will ship the cards to the fews Prepaid customers who have reply to our email

What was this email? simple

Can you confirm you still be interested to have a free sim card ( witht 5 $ air time, just for checking that yackie mobile is still the best solution ) and for confirming your delivery address

We will not ship a card to a customer who are not anymore interested.

Third

The incoming calls

We have it is true a small technicall issue between our Voip GW and our GSM GW, we can assign a DID Number from france and it's work perfectly, from any other country also, BUT not from the USA......you can receive the call, we can hear you, not you.....

This shall be resolve also next week and i hope tomorow, and as soon as this shall be fixed, YOU will have your did number as promise.

Yackie is the best solution, we know that, we trust in our products.....let us show you that we are right...

Have a great Week end

Say what?

I am just letting it known that the transactions were takiing a little longer than normal. It's good that you are letting us know that the issue will be with the bank and not on your end.

I am willing to give Yackie a try, and I have already responded to you guys regarding the free sim card. If I understand correctly, you are saying that the you can not issue a SIM card with a USA DID. If so, when do you anticipate being able to issue SIM card with a USA DID? Also, I am assuming this free sim card will have a France DID right and will we be able to topup/recharge via the website?

achu 10-09-2006 17:39

Just to add another data point, I also did NOT receive any refund either (as of today, Sept 10th). I am located in the US and I have to say most of my credit card refunds tend to show up within a week.

I have also replied to the last email notifying you (support @ Yackie Mobile) that I have not received my refund and also still am interested in the product. I haven't heard anything back from that either.

YackieMobile 10-09-2006 20:03

Good afternoon again Bossman

You may be dont understand me, i'm sorry for that i will be more precise

Yackie will work with all DID from any country

When you're in a hole, stop digging

Bossman 19-09-2006 18:13

Anyone get any status/update from these folks regarding the refunds or replacement sim that we are supposed to be getting?

I haven't....

money69 19-09-2006 18:33

i havent heard anything from them. I am in the US and still have no SIM nor refund.

MATHA531 19-09-2006 18:51

Me neither.

Bossman 19-09-2006 19:28

Well, the reason why I asked is that things have been quiet regarding this company for a while. No communication whatsoever. Their websites, including the one that allows us to check call logs, etc. have not been updated at all (I thought they were working on it), the live chat is no longer functional.

Yackie mobile, What's up?

Just wondering.

TheMadBrewer 20-09-2006 03:48

Sometimes one is lucky rather than smart :)

An international SIM with a US and a German DID would really make my life simpler. I was so excited when the Yakie Mobile stuff apeared on the board -- it was just what I was waiting for. But since my next real use would not be until October, (and being a *frugal* SOB) I thought I would put off purchasing until September or so.

I feel for all of you who have been abused by these people, but I am saddest for "what might have been."

Jibku 20-09-2006 20:55

Just received some kind of news :

Quote:

Good Afternoon,

We have contacted our bank in reference to the refunds, we will ship you a card by next week. We will update you as soon as possible in reference to these issues.

Best regards

Yackie Mobile Customer Support
Well, we'll see next week...

Bossman 20-09-2006 21:17

Jibku, did you receive this in response to a contact you made to them?

Jibku 21-09-2006 07:11

Yes, it was a response to a mail I sent on Sept. 10, informing them that I had received no refund and was still interested in a SIM for free.

Bossman 21-09-2006 11:07

I see...

At least they got back to you. Even though it took 10 days.

It's really beyond me that a simple refund is taking this long. Yackie should at least provide some kind of detail to us regarding what is going on. These 1- 2 line answers just do not cut it! At this point, what really matters to me, and probably most of the others, is getting my full refund. Receiving the sim to try out is of secondary importance.

Sorry to hear about everyone's experiences with Yackie.

I seriously considered buying a Yackie SIM earlier in the year when they launched, but decided against it as I was (a) reasonably happy with my Riiing?UM) + Callbackworld arrangements.

I also had my finger sburned with Buytel, the Irish `international' SIM service a while back, so am wary of startups like Yackie.

Hope everyone gets their refunds. If all else fails, TALK to your credit card issuer!

Steve

sroulik 25-09-2006 15:20

does someone knows a compagny who's sell GLOBAL SIM with landline number or US number?

DRNewcomb 26-09-2006 00:13

Yackie was supposed to do that, but.......

YackieMobile 28-09-2006 02:23

I see YackieMobile posted another update on this thread.

According to the latest post, SIM has been mailed out from Florida for USA folks. I guess I'll believe it when I see it. Also, YackieMobile claims that only "a few" people have not received their refund. I would like to know, who here actually received a refund (not charge back thru your CC)?

I ordered my SIM back in June/July timeframe. I did recieve my SIM (after a whole month waiting for it) and it worked great for 2 weeks. Then the whole dead DID fiasco.

Please do post a message here if and when you receive either the refund and/or the new SIM.

Bossman 28-09-2006 18:23

I just saw that too.

I will definitely post if I receive anything be it the new sim, refund, or the DID#/login mentioned in the latest post. If it comes by tomorrow, I may be able to test it on my trip and report back in 2 weeks or from there...Leaving for Nigeria tomorrow evening, with brief stops in Amsterdam and London.

I email this today:
Quote:

Hello,
I did not receive any SIM card or anything at all from you since I placed my order at the beginning of August.
I was debited of 68.81? on the 10th of August 2006.
I have received NO refund since then.
Should I contact my bank to advise them that this debit came from a fraudulent transaction?

I await your reply.
I already send 3 mails, without any response.
