As written before the choose of the SIM cards always depends on the field of usage.
For UK customers for sure the +44 cards are the best.
In my case many of my collegues call on my card from their german mobile. The rate to EU mobiles from our contract is 29ct/min. So it doesnt matter if +44 or +372, both are in the EU zone (whereas latvia +371 would be in the world zone with 99ct/min in our case).
Of course for other people this can look very different...

Wel if you are EU based the roaming sims are becoming less attractive anyhow.

Incoming calls to an eu mobile are limited to 10 cents.
Calling an eu mobile number using voicetrading is typically around 3-4 eurocents so total cost around 14 eurocent.
Alternative is to forward your calls to a uk mobile roaming sim at 15 cents or estonian number even more.

For me this means roaming free sims are only attractive when outside the EU. if you are inside the EU the are becoming less attractive.

sure, inside EU we use our T-Mobiles as we have 2400 minutes of roaming included in our rate plan. but outside EU they pay off very quickly

From the below countries, it's possible to call any XXSIM for free, using a toll free phone#. No matter where the XXSIM is located. When receiving a toll free call, EUR0.15/minute will be charged from the XXSIM balance, and the caller ID will be prefixed by 999. Example: A caller from the USA calls a mobile located in the United Arab Emirates, he dials the toll free phone# in the USA, then he composes the phone# of the XXSIM and the entire communications only costs EUR0.15/minute. I have been reading articles on moneysaving expert and came across this article you maybe interested in. This is what happens when you unknowingly use high rate termination numbers Mobile Roaming: Cheapest Calls When You're Abroad - Page 45 - MoneySavingExpert.com Forums

"GOSIM Warning - and no doubt similar phone cards all operated by |||Ekit.com
We were recently caught out by the wording on the Gosim pages. You can receive calls for free on a UK mobile number +44. What is not made clear is that this is not a standard mobile number (although it looks like one) so it is not included in your free minutes. We have just had a bill of almost £1000.00 for calling our daughter (lots) as she is traveling round the world. Now don't get me wrong the concept of the number is very good however this MASSIVE FACT that you have to pay £0.31 minute to call from uk is tucked away on one page. The bottom line is either the caller or the receiver has to pick up the call charges and that is hard to find on all the literature
Use Free WIFI and Skype, Viber or Whatsapp".

Please keep it civil chaps, we all want the best deal and it is better if we give each other and visitors the best info possible.

Eustar and fsotirop please stop it here.
On this thread you can discuss about xxsim.
No need to promote this service, but simply to talk about its pros and cons. If Eustar has something to deal with xxsim I'd be grateful if he confirms it or not. Otherwise every user is free to say what he/she wants, in an educate way of course.
