If you could change billing from one minute to something like 30 sec and then every six seconds it would be great! |
Does their website generate an itemized list of calls that would be suitable for an reimbursement report for our corporate friends out there?
|
I also sent today an e-mail to client@yackiemobile.com
Let's see if they will reply |

After playing with your system I think it does what I was referring to -- allows you to print out a bill that would be appropriate to attach to a request for reimbursement that itemizes calls and charges.
|
Wow.
They replied very quickly by e-mail with a voucher number. With the voucher number I was able to purchase a sim card that comes with US$10. Besides that they gave me another US$39 so the sim card will come with US$49. Everything was free, even shipping to Brazil was free. Their website is really organized. Much better than worldsim’s I already have my local number. Now I need to wait for the sim card to arrive so I can start using it. |
I recieved the SIM last week. Everything is working fine. Thanks again for this generous offer and the free German fixed line number too! With a credit of $49 for free, a free SIM and the free phone number for Voip, who would ever want to complain !!!
My IOM SIM is ready for the dustbin. |
Razfaz or other DE members, do you know what T-Mobile DE (on a contract plan) typically charges to call forward to a German landline number?
|
It depends on your plan. Typically you'd expect to pay about 29ct/min forwarding to other German numbers
|
I like the fact that they have used Magrathea Telecommunications Limited to provide landline numbers in the United Kingdom. It means i can get my truely local number of +441535xxxxxx (keighley) instead of having to go for a near local number like +44113xxxxxxx (leeds) and +44161xxxxxxx (manchester)

Just got my free SIM today in the mail with my voucher! Thanks Yackie!
One question - Are text messages sent to the local DID number forwarded on the phone or do you have to send it to the Iceland number? |
You have to send it to the Iceland number

The reason I bought the world sim card is because I am going to Belgrade, Serbia in December/January.
After service disruption of world sim I accepted a free Yackie Mobile sim card (which is on its way by mail). Today I was going to check the Yackie Mobile gsm rates in Serbia and guess what???? They don’t have service in Serbia. I don’t know what to do. I am really not lucky I suppose. |
According to their website the DO have service.
It is listed under Yugoslavia/Serbia So it looks like you're in luck! |

Thanks for the information jeffg1998 and prion.
I forgot to look for Yugoslavia. |

Hello YackieMobile.
When I am in Serbia I will surely comment about your roaming coverage. In the meanwhile, I was wondering if you could help me with one more doubt. Yackie Mobile’s website only shows the rates for incoming calls from the “local” number. It doesn’t show the rates for incoming calls from the Iceland number. I tried the Yackie Support, but it was offline. I sent an offline message yesterday, and no one replied. They were offline again today. Do you know if incoming calls from the Iceland number are free in Serbia? Thanks :o |

Does anyone know if Yackie really does not work in Switzerland? This strikes me as odd. I can't find the rate.
|
Dear sir
we do not roam for now in Switzerland regards |

For your information Yackie does not charge for busy call or not completed calls, Our system is also a call back system.... And we see some competitors charging this kind of calls, so the reason I think people are being charged for calls is an ecomomic reason instead of a technical issue. |

I didn't manage to reach my new yackie mobile number at all from Germany it's blocked whatever I try, however using the German fixed number takes about 50 sek, but that always worked. So basically without their free local number, it wouldn't make sense using the card at all over here. (I need to be reached from Germany).
As long as it works for 29ct/min it's a great option! |
I'm surprised that Germans would go for it, given the choice of Sunsim or Solomo instead - 9 or 5 to 15 cents incoming roaming in Europe is cheaper than the call diversion cost

No, I stopped trying at 30ct, T-Com is 35 Eurocent.
Solomo is surely cheaper, when someone else pays for the incoming call dialing the cellphone number, but if you pay both legs it isn't. :-) Calls to german landlines are free with my plan at home. |

I received my Yackie Mobile sim card last night.
I made a call to test it. After I dialed the number, it took only a few seconds for my phone to ring. I answered and a few more seconds later the other person answered. It sounded good enough. I was able to hear the other person talking and she could hear me normally also. Sound was loud and clear. There was a little background noise (hiss), but it was acceptable. Now is the bad part. Every time I try to call the +354 number I get a message that says: “The callee is busy now. Please try again later” I tried to call from Skype, from my mobile and also from my landline. Always the same message. If I call the “local” number (which is programmed to divert to the mobile), it rings normally, but if I call the +354 it simply does not work. I’ve been trying to call the customer care number (090), but I don’t get the call back. Also, I have not been able to send or receive SMS to and from my mobile, but I suppose this is not Yackie’s fault. It could be a problem with my local mobile company (Claro). The only sms I received were the ones I sent from Skype. Another strange thing is that when I sent a sms test message, I received it three times. Also, when I dialed 092 to check my balance, I received the sms message three times |
I just noticed another strange thing.
I never received the SMS I sent from my Yackie Mobile to my local mobile, but they are charging it anyway. |

Could you send me a private message with more information? |

thank you |

The yackie rate of $0.29 is very reasonable and much cheaper will be difficult to find. If you do want to call the number the only good option at the moment is UM+ which is offering a +44 number which you can call using betamax. |

And now, for the fourth time, I received the same SMS I sent from Skype last night |
I have the same problem here in Hungary, the Pannon network does not allow even calls to the +354 with range 380...
My German operator (E+) does allow calls to my YackieMobile even when I´m roaming in the Pannon network, so it must be a operator issue. The same problem with SMS. So that means, I will be not reachable from some operators networks because they see the 380... number range as premium numbers. Interesting is that my e-Mail account provider does allow sending SMS to +354380... numbers, the strange thing on this is that they officially do not offer service to this destination :D ... kind of weird ... Service providers such as smsbug.com do not deliver send SMS to YackieMobile numbers, roaming SIM operators like e.g. sim4travel with +447509... numbers does not connect to YackieM., Jajah.com does not connect to YackieM., nonoh.com does connect to YackieM. last but not least the roaming service provider !GT-SIM! does connect for 29 Euro Cent to YackieM. |
