according to their customer service, they told me that as of 1st of July, new-reduced rates- for voice, sms and data (outgoing rates) will be applied for roaming from European Union countries. incoming rates are already free from all EU countries.
they also told me that some non-European countries rates will also be reduced.

per second billing will also continue to be active from European Union countries, plus the voice data bundles.

about what you ask, have a look at rebtel.com , 0.18cents per minute.

I would really like a Camel Mobile SIM but am not comfortable submitting a copy of my passport and Credit Card on a non-secure website. I e-mailed camel mobile and received no answer. I just can't imagine that it has not bothered anyone else that not any of their website is secure (https).

fsotirop 21-06-2012 06:14

email your order at tk@camelmobile.com, i ordered that way. their response should be very fast on this email

concerniong their website they had told me some weeks ago that they would introduce a new, completely new website soon, within summer time.

stefan0325 23-06-2012 08:12

Did you have to send them a copy of your passport and credit card. I don't think I trust them enough to send them these important documents. If they can't even make a website that is secure, I can't even imagine how unsecure all their other computers and databases are.

all customers, as i am, received by email attachment the new rates... since 29/06/2012.
their website will be completely renewed in a few days, so i suppose that is the reason their old website is not updated with the new reduced voice/sms/data rates.

all these years i have tried all availible roaming simcards, I was never such satisfied as with camelmobile, including the variety of services offered, the quality and the pricing of their service.

*they have also launched (since mid-July) the new direct calling function to most european countries! no callback anymore!

Stu 01-08-2012 02:39

I find it interesting that they are quoting roaming rates in North Korea. To the best off my knowledge, there are no roaming agreements in place for North Korea. I don't even think China Mobile (or Unicom) has a roaming agreement.

The rate list you are referring to is for calls TO these countries, not while beeing IN these countries... (of course also the amount of numbers to call inside north korea will be quite limited indeed...)

Worse than that. If you show up in DPRK with a mobile phone the only roaming you'll be doing is back and forth in your prison cell.

And I can only imagine what they would do if I showed up in the DPRK with my Iridium satphone (one of the few countries where it's banned for political reasons).

North Korea has official mobile phone service through a 3G network set up by Orascom of Egypt called Koryolink. Other than high handset prices the average worker can not afford, international direct dial is blocked and some handset functions are deliberately disabled. Unofficially near the North Korea/China border, some people use smuggled Chinese phones to call internationally on Chinese networks that can be accessed: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/repor...rticle4103903/

Orascom did sign an agreement with roaming provider Link2One http://www.mach.com/en/News-Events/P...ne-Roaming-Hub but I highly doubt this would ever lead to any official roaming on Koryolink.

The roaming agreement is probably a one way agreement so that North Korean government officials can use their mobiles while conducting official business in Macao, Monnaco, Tahiti, etc.

fsotirop 12-08-2012 09:24

camelmobile has NO active roaming agreement in North Korea.. camel:manual:roaming_partners [SertexSoft]

Excuse me, these numbers do not belong "Latvia BITE MOBILE", numbers are "Latvia MOBILE", see tariff calculation from the Germany... numbered 8673 and 8674 and map of prefixes Latvia are the numbers divided by the company! Bite Mobile, Lettland Mobile, Tele 2...etc, Call cost from the Germany (dearly) 69.9c

-> CallRelax (germ.) <-

why can not camelmobile ads?

fsotirop 12-08-2012 16:36

each calling or voip provider has different rates my friend..you should be aware of this!
have a look for example at rebtel... Cheap International calling rates from Rebtel 0.18 per minute for calling 371222 numbers..

and just for your info... the termination rate for camelmobile numbers (371222 & 37121) is 0.16eur. per minute.

I suppose you have already noticed that OTE (Greek Telecom Organization) is charging one euro/min to connect to these numbers?

Wind landline telephony in Greece is also charging 2,23 euros/min for all +3712 numbers!

Also globe7 is charging 1,1 USD/min for these numbers! Betamax/finarea/dellmont clones do not appear to connect.

All these tell us that the termination rates are far more expensive. There are af cource still some cheap routes. The question is how long they will last...

I do remember that When I bought my UM sim which had a +423663 number there were a few carriers that charged even 10c/min only! But most were not connecting or charging more. I think the same think will happen here.

fsotirop 15-08-2012 09:21

my friend.. some few examples for your reference:

rebtel charges 0.18 per minute
localphone 0.21 per minute
betamax premium route 0.162 per minute...

so, no worry!
camelmobile number ranging routing+access is handled by their own...for axapmle they have special agreement with TELEFONICA...for intra-europe routing at advertised termination rate.
so there will ALWAYS be low cost access to their service.. despite other travelsim cards...

*in our company we also use some spare camelmobile numbers for calling our drivers... intra-rates: 0.18/min. with per second billing...

direct calling, no callback anymore, is also introduced in Greece by camelmobile since last month.

prion 15-08-2012 20:11

I have tried voipbuster and webcalldirect and none connected to +371222 numbers. How can I use the premium route? Is this option offered for wholesale only?

Any explanation as to why big carriers like OTE or wind are charging that much for these numbers whereas they charge a lot less for normal mobile numbers in Latvia?

When I have asked OTE about such differences they have told me that this is due to higher termination rates they have to pay (which indeed makes sense)

dg7feq 16-08-2012 09:09

Yes, the choose between gray white and premium can only be done in the wholesale accounts. The cheap brands usually use the gray route only (which never ever connects to more expensive destinations). You can try callwithus.com or future-nine.com where you can choose the route by dialling a prefix.

fsotirop 16-08-2012 11:44

yes, choose a wholesale account on a betamax clone and use the premium route, connection to +371222 & 37121 numbers works just fine, with perfect sound quality too.

as i did mentioned before, the wholesale termination rate paid to camelmobile when calling their numbers is 0.16eur. per minute.... everything charged above this price is net profit of the telephone companies.

Eustar 31-08-2012 00:21

31.08.12 God , Camelmobile have not changed their tariffs are announced?:rotfl:

CamelMobile-Rates

fsotirop 31-08-2012 10:12

-calls from EU-EU cost eur.0.18,

-calls originating from EU to EU countries are charged per second after the first 30seconds (30+1), according to EU regulation.
competition like xxsim, ekit, onesimcard, maxroam, gt-sim etc charge per minute..even if you speak just 10seconds

-data within EU countries: 0.49eur./ mb with billing per 1kb .data from outside EU (incl.USA, Japan, Australia etc) starting from eur.0.69/mb billing per 10kb.

-sms From EU country to EU country eur 0.09, sms from countries outside EU eur.0.30/sms

-minimum recharge amount 1euro or 1usd. (depending the currency of the ordered simcard) . others, like xxsim require minimum of 20eur. per recharge..

-«Number preservation» service.
This service ensures that while making outgoing calls, the person you are calling will see your local/normal number displayed. (not the camelmobile number)

-«Call me back» service

The service is provided free of charge and doesn’t require any additional set up.

-free of charge call forwarding of your camelmobile number to 125countries. (including mobile numbers)

if you also like you can subscribe to the special voice bundle that includes all EU countries (also Russia), that you get:

the first minute of outgoing call is charged according to standard rate
outgoing calls starting from 2nd minute – 0,185 EUR/min;
Bonus for incoming calls starting from 3rd minute – 0,02 EUR/min. credited daily.

The bundle is valid for 180 calendar days from the moment of activation.
Activation of bundle does not change any other rates.
Cost of bundle: 2,50 EUR. charged once on activation

Eustar 01-09-2012 09:35

You have specified stupidity and not specifically compare rates with other SIM cards

Camelmobile is fee-based telephone numbers from letoniamobile as well as sim&web from liechtenstein freetimetelecom, from different countries cost a lot, unfortunately.

If you think I'm going to call via Mobile SIP and VoIP etc? No, 0.49c per MB is lot (1GB-49.-€) EU local prepaid SIM cards are cheaper mobileinternet...and but the EU now have incoming calls via local sim 0.09c is a line of quality and therefore possess a UK Vodafon,Maxroam, Xxsim, GT-Sim. ah yes my Favorite is Xxsim and GT-Sim, GT-Sim hawe better tarif

EU to EU and World landline only 0.19c
EU to EU and World mobile only 0.29c
USA, CAN. to EU and World only 0.19c incoming call 0.09c

TipTop :D

thank you

EU to all other world (landlines+mobiles) from 0,23 per minute..
