thats why i wrote _within_ EU. If you call to a country outside the EU it is mostly very expensive.

You can use a BBerry anywhere. You just wouldn't have the BB features via Abroadband. HOWEVER, many (most?) BB users in the world can add on a feature where you you get unlimited email anywhere you go (except a few 3rd woorld countries). Eg. TMobile US has that option that you activate when you travel - at 67 cents/day. You turn off the option upon your return. ATT has the same option for about $1/day.
I could still use a BB for other data activity (web, VOIP etc.) with Abroadband.

I think abroadband service is the best because they give you internet while you traveling in just 0.59/MB also you can you this in blackberry, it support this.

abroadband does NOT support Blackberry (BIS, BES, etc. - http://www.abroadband.com/faq/ and search for 'blackberry').

Thank you tux for telling me the right thing..!
but i discuss this because a few month ago my friend have the same problem and he contact with the salesman and the salesman mentioned that the blackberries can be used as a broadband modem for an ordinary desktop computer.

tux 25-03-2011 15:10

I don't know very well Blackberry, but I know that some apps (like tethering) use standard APNs (in this case abroadband's one). This is what I read and learnt about BBs :)

ronniewilliams 25-03-2011 20:31

Yah! I read about tethering. it is very useful to use mobile device as a modem and I hope after using this many people are solve their problem very easily.
