Thanks for all the responses! I keep hearing mixed opinions on the reliability of Travelsim, is it that calls are just bad quality? or will calls not connect at all?

Also I have read that texting prices in the EU were just capped at €0,11 per text no matter where you are (in the EU). Is this true? Travelsim shows the updated price but most other places I look still have significantly higher texting prices. Does anyone know a little more about this? Thanks

In the most EU countries texts cost 11 cents, it's an interesting price above all the Eurotariff. In which country will you go?

I will be living in Germany, and traveling to Ireland, Netherlands, and Italy a lot

And you want to send sms to USA?

mhalverson12 28-08-2009 04:01

No I just was looking for the cheapest and most reliable way for people in the US to call my estonia number.

Both--but it was the failures to connect that drove me away.

My advice, do not depend 100% on this +372 number for receiving calls from the USA. Just too unreliable to reach that number from here.

My feeling is that many U.S. long distance carriers blocked calling to +423 and +372 (United Mobile and TravelSim) numbers was because costs were MUCH MORE expensive than calling regular numbers - and that customers complained about the "outrageous" charges. I know carriers blocked calls to UM numbers. I assume some do the same to TravelSim numbers.
