Today I noticed that my Geodesa card +44-7624 number was showing caller id on a dutch network. I tried orange and vodophone in holland both gave caller id, kpn network did not give caller id.

I am trying it tomorrow in belgium but it looks like the IOM card have solve the called id problem. Can more people please test this and confirm.

Looking at the problems UM+ still has and IOM now offering caller ID i will keep my IOM number and use UM+ as an extra.

I think virtually all prepaid sims use callback systems. With respect to caller-id and the perception that the caller-ids are spoofed, how does this very from a contract sim roaming in a foreign country. If I use my US contract SIM in Hong Kong to place a call to the UK, the Hong Kong partner will handle the entire call, but will place my US caller-id on it.

What I think there should be is something like an https padlock on caller-id. If the caller-id matches the ANI, mark it as verified (or at least partially verified -- I know that ANI spoofing is possible). They they don't match mark it as unsecure and let the recipient know this, but make the choice whether to answer.

Same here...my FreeGlobalSim (+447624) is also showing in and out caller ID. Tried it with both Cingular and tmobile. Looks like they have resolved it.

Good news if they have resolved caller id. My one problem with this card was caller ID.

As said there service works fine and is a real alternative for UM+ now which still seems to have startup problems.

Work the same by me. It sends and receives caller ID with all local networks.

Great news! I just brought my callkey +44 7624 sim out of retirement and caller ID is indeed working on outgoing and incoming calls. I've tested it in Belgium so far on Proximus, Mobistar and Base where it's working perfectly.

Now onto testing the interesting possibility of callback triggers. However, I'm a little aprehensive as I had issues with calls that were hung up on the mobile not actually disconnecting for up to 30 minutes when using this sim in the past. Only one way to find out though ;-)

EDIT: Well, I was just reminded why I stopped using the callkey sim...after a few minutes switched on all incoming calls are going directly to voicemail...seems they haven't fixed the reliability issues.

EDIT AGAIN: The sim has started ringing again BUT now the caller ID has stopped working on any network :-( It was good for the 10 mins it worked! Perhaps I broke their new system :-) ??

My iom sim does display a number in incoming calls but this is an Isle of Man landline number. Always the same... Also, outgoing calls still do not show the number for me

noticed the same here now today and yesterday afternoon.

On some networks like kpn still no caller id on others the same +44 number. Looks like the are playing around implimenting caller id. Hope that it will work in some days.

called customer support and asked them. The told me the are working on implementing caller id and that it is tested, the reason why sometimes it works and sometimes we only see an +44 number.

So the good news is, they are working on it and hopefully it works soon.
