that one looks nice too. These touchscreen-only phones seem to be very popular in HK at the moment.

Here it is spelled Duobao and Dubao on one page :) http://news.softpedia.com/news/Dubao...ne-45329.shtml

It caused a small sensation across Polish forums over the latest weekend - many people couldn't believe that any manufacturer decided to make such a product :)

I made a query at a ebay seller called exotic_mobiles located in switzerland. He can deliver it within 4 weeks from switzerland. Cost about 265 Euro including shipping...

its actually a surprise that it took so long for a manufacturer took so long in making one of that kind of handset, justthink two networks running in one handset at the same time!

bloody good idea, if a little expensive!

After making some research i found out that a lot of asian manufacturers have such phones - but most of them not quadband but just dualband 900/1800. They start at 160$ - so not too expensive. Just not useful for the US.... (Examples: http://www.ipmart.com/main/browse.ph...19541&cat=1762 )

Taking a look a the pictures and the specs, the "Ya Xing E50" seems to be the best device.

But there is a contradiction:
"Features: Package contains: 2 x chargers" and "In the Package: 1 unit of Charger"

I don't trust the "Long Fei Fung Wu 998". If you take a closer look the the detailed pictures, it seems like a modded 1 sim phone with dual sim modification like these dual sim cards that can be bought on ebay for e few euro's. Just do an ebay search on "2 In 1 GSM Dual Twin SIM Card Adapter Holder for Mobile" and you'll see what I mean. With these things you need to forward your unavail. status to the phonenumber of the other sim, and vice versa, when switching the active sim via the menu.

If these chinese devices are using the same technique then they are useless in my opinion. If they actually have 2 GSM engines, it's really worth the price.

Anyone who tried to order one just to see what the shipping cost to Europe is?

EDIT:
Take a look at ebay items: 250078553180, 250080047444 (seller: <1% negative)
Don't take a look at: 320077817898 (seller: >3% negative)

I agree. From those handsets the most I like are following ones:
LT X1 Dual SIM Card Phone
CECT T668+ Dual SIM Card Phone
Ya Xing E50 Dual SIM Card Phone

The shipping to Czech Republic is about USD 44 for half kilo and USD 56 for kilo.

I just got conformation from IPmart by email. All listed dual SIM phones should recieve call to both SIM at the same time.

Maybe it has 2 batteries as well, so it's given me a new idea

I have two phones the same (Nokia 3120)

All I need is some glue or an elastic band :???:

If you zoom the CECT T668+ Dual SIM Card Phone picture, you can even see 2 signal symbols on the screen in left hand top corner.

You mean you don't support the "dual sim phone"-idea? Or were you just ironic ?

I still think it's a good product. You only have one contactlist.
But if the phone dies, don't expect support here in Europe.

Anyway, I think I'll wait until they come up with a GPRS/Edge/whatever version.
