It is because we have working for mix our GSM with our Voip service for trying to avoid through the Voip service as maximum as possible this inconvenient to have to pay this RPP

But YM is basicly is a Roaming Pre paid Card, so excepted using this card for receiving his Incoming call localy, the YM is normaly for be used in travel.

OK, thanks for explanation but I still think that incoming rates in the USA are too high anyway.

As to the "YM is basicly is a Roaming Pre paid Card", you mean that YM is "designed" to be a mainly card for US users traveling abroad, right? Didn't you think that with lower US rates it might be attractive to non-US users who want to roam in the USA?

I understand that the US is not a receiver pays country. So is Canada, but compare the differential between the two. I will look at the voip as well.

Well, Yackiemobile seems to be nice compliment as an Asian-centric prepaid roaming card, which completes the picture in conjunction with the other Euro-centric cards, but, as a complete GSM/VoIP combo, with VoIP forwarding, it seems the Yackie VoIP rates to mobiles around the world are 10-15c higher a minute than, say, Skype, which is significant. Why is this, Yackie? Anything can be done about that?

Anyone tried out the Voip forwarding? If so, how did it work? Does this come out of your prepaid balance from your SIM or???

andy 30-11-2006 07:21

maybe as listed on http://www.yackie.com/calculator.php ?

could do with making some of those rates a bit keener ...... and it might be interesting to compare their rates for Israel mobiles with a few others ...

Till now i could not make it work.
It always connects to voice mail when neither the SIM is online or the VoIP software.
And there is a prepay balance on the yackie VoIP account.
As it seems preloaded with 10$

Assuming all one has to do is log into the account, and click on forwarding and enter the number in the appropriate format, I gave it a try yesterday, but it still rolled to VM. I have not downloaded the VOIP software yet. Don't think there is a need to download the software in order for forwarding to work. Same here...There is $10 on the VOIP account and credit on my sim.

I tried out the software as well (and also added the data in my VoIP switchboard - its standard SIP they are using). In and outgoing calls work well there. And it really rings on the Yackiemobile DID when the cellphone is switched off. So far so good.

I'll try to ask the coustomer care about the forwarding later on.

Chris
