Presentation
GT-SIM has been the first Isle of Man based international prepaid GSM card.
It was born as a postpaid "pay-as-you-go" offer, but then in May 2006 it became a prepaid offer. It
changed quite a lot and it has different offers (see also GT-Phone).
Their offer can be interesting for the rather low rates of outgoing calls and GPRS data roaming capabilities.
PROS
It's one of the few international cards with GPRS data capabilities.
No set-up fee. Cheap calls to landlines, UK based number (IoM).
CONS
Per minute billing, very high rates for data.
They changed rates and way of billing without any notice several times.
Minimum monthly usage fee.

Surcharges
There are unfortunately many exceptions to the above mentioned rates, here they are:
- + € 0.20: Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Faeroe Islands, Gambia, Gibraltar, Hong Kong,
Iceland, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Macao, Malaysia, Mauritius, Montenegro, Morocco, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea,
Philippines, Russia, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Western Samoa.
- + € 0.60: Afghanistan, Argentina, Canada, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Thailand, USA.
- + € 0.80: Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman
Islands, Cuba, Dominica, El Salvador, Grenada, Guantanamo Bay, Guyana, Haiti, Haiti-Port Au Prince, Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis,
St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Island.
- + € 1.40: India.
All the rates listed here above must be added to both incoming and outgoing calls.
IMPORTANT
If there are no calling activities within a period of 1 month, a rental charge of € 0,59 for the number will be automatically deducted from the account.
