How to buy
MTV Mobile has no sim-only packages, so there are basically 3 ways to get your sim-card:
- buy a prepaid card of another Italian operator (e.g. TIM, Vodafone, Wind...) and port the number to MTV Mobile. Porting from TIM is surely easier;
- buy a phone bundle (min € 179.00);
- buy a PC bundle (ASUS Eee PC 901) at € 399.00.
Prepaid Data bundles
With MTV Mobile you can choose among two offers, called MTV Mobile Connect "Week" and "Mese":

If you buy the PC-Bundle you get a special offer for the MTV Mobile Connect Mese at € 99.00 per year, instead of € 20.00 per month. You can also pay € 35.00/month for 24 months and get the PC plus the Connect Mese option at no extra cost. Of course this offer is good only for long stays in Italy of 2 years or more.
Prepaid data rates
Normal data rates without any bundle are the following: € 0.006/KB, i.e. € 6.144/MB, not so convenient.

- APN to use: ibox.tim.it, no username and password required;
- Known limitations: none.
